EP 34: Period Health

Period health is a topic not often talked about or discussed but there’s more research coming out that suggests that our period health is like an overall report card of our health. And when there are issues in your menstrual cycle, women are often given poor advice or birth control to resolve them. In this episode, Dr. Brenda discusses what a normal menstrual cycle consists of, why it’s important to have a healthy period, what is not normal and a few simple solutions to help. In addition, she also discusses some limitations to long term health from hormonal birth control.
